Despite its fairly recent arrival in the world of streaming, Apple TV+ continues to deliver quality content across the board that audiences continue to enjoy. The streaming platform has created a slew of top-tier television shows and films that persistently rack up award nominations. True to form, next month proves to be no different for the streaming service.




With comedies, dramas, and a children’s show ready to premiere in the coming weeks, Apple TV+ has something for everyone. There might not be many shows or movies heading to the platform next month, but they are still worth watching. No matter a viewer’s interest, they’re bound to find something they’ll enjoy.


The Instigators

Directed by Doug Liman, The Instigators is a comedic heist film that follows Rory (Matt Damon) and Cobby (Casey Affleck), two reluctant partners whose robbery plans go awry. With a mortgage and unpaid child support looming over him, Rory is desperate to make things right and fix the broken relationship he has with his son. As a last-ditch effort to dig himself out of the hole he’s made for himself, he teams up with an ex-con, Cobby, to steal a corrupt politician’s ill-gained earnings. However, the heist doesn’t unfold as expected, and the pair quickly find themselves thrust into the middle of a chaotic world they’re ill-equipped to handle.

Yo Gabba GabbaLand! is a new live-action children’s series that reimagines the world of Yo Gabba GabbaLand with Kammy Kam (Kamryn Smith) at its helm. Filled with music, dancing, and plenty of life lessons, the show seeks to teach its audience via an entertaining and optimistic setting.


With all five of its fan-favorite customized toys, Muno, Foofa, Brobee, Toodee, and Plex, returning for the reboot, there will surely be numerous adventures for the group to experience. The show promises many musical guests along with many familiar faces parents will recognize. Along with musicians, actors, scientists, and many more, kids and parents alike will learn something new thanks to the expansive new world Yo Gabba GabbaLand! aims to create for viewers at home. Bad Monkey (Season 1)

Bad Monkey is a new drama series based on Carl Hiaasen’s 2013 best-selling novel of the same name. The show follows Andrew Yancy (Vince Vaughn), a former detective turned restaurant inspector. Once a prominent member of the Miami Police Department, Yancy was pushed out and now reluctantly works as a health inspector in the Florida Keys. However, when a tourist accidentally discovers a human arm while fishing, Yancy believes solving the murder connected to the mystery arm will help him win back his old job.

Pachinko (Season 2)

Based on Min Jin Lee’s 2017 best-selling novel of the same name, Pachinko is a drama series that chronicles the lives of one Korean family over four generations from 1915 to 1989. Set across multiple time periods, the show encapsulates the indomitable quest one family undergoes to not only survive but to thrive. The catalyst of such a journey begins with Sunja (Kim Min-ha/ Youn Yuh-jung), who dreams of starting a new life. In 1931, she left her family in Japanese-ruled Korea and moved to the Koreatown of Osaka, Japan. While there, she builds a life while simultaneously enduring rough living conditions and discrimination against Korean immigrants like her throughout Japanese society.

The critically acclaimed series finally returns with another season after premiering over two years ago in March 2022. The latest season will continue Sunja’s story and her experience through World War II. Viewers will also see more of her grandson, Solomon Baek (Jin Ha), as he navigates a new partnership with a Japanese businessman. With a more complex narrative, Pachinko’s return promises to deliver a rich tapestry of storytelling across multiple decades. Pachinko Season 2 is streaming on Aug. 23.
